| How do I become a member of IWL? |
| Joining IWL as a basic member will allow you access to annual and local newsletter, as well as benefits that include professional development and networking opportunities. Basic membership gives you the choice of becoming involved on the local level by joining an IWL chapter in your area. Chapters offer monthly meetings that focus on professional networking. These gatherings allow you to connect, learn and grow your networks of south Asian professional women around the world! Click here to start your application to become an IWL member.
As a basic member, you will also receive:
- The opportunity to gain leadership skills, networking opportunities and invitation to our annual member’s only event.
- The opportunity to run for a leadership position within IWL.

| Our membership is growing everyday; currently we have a network of 2,500 professional women around the world. |
| Are there any requirements to become a member? |
We welcome dynamic women who have the following characteristics:
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Bachelors Degree (minimum)
- Substantial leadership in community and/or in their chosen industry / field
- Future ambition / desire to change the world
- High Level of impact - personal or professional
- Potential desire to join our organization

| Do I have to be a certain age to join IWL? |
| There is no firm requirement, only we request you have a minimum of 5 years work experience. These are guidelines — if you or someone you know is a dynamic South Asian woman that currently or will change the world...let us know! |
| Are there regularly scheduled events beyond the Annual Summit? |
| In addition to our Annual Summit, members are invited to events organized by their local chapters. Click here to see a sample of current events at a chapter near you. |
| How can I become involved in a leadership role? |
| As soon as you become a member you are invited to help our organization to empower and inspire more South Asian women. Contact your local Chapter Lead to learn more about leadership opportunities. |

| What makes this organization different than other professional, women or South Asian organizations? |
| While there are a number of different local and national women's and South Asian organizations, none currently serves the specific needs of South Asian women leaders. |
| Is this organization for those that are married or those that have children? |
| We welcome all dynamic women who strive to lead. We believe all experiences whether as single, married, or with children provides additional insight & wisdom to share with other women. |
| Do I need to know someone to get into this organization? |
| Absolutely not. We welcome all women with an interest in this organization to apply. |
| What is the cost of membership? |
| We charge a nominal annual fee of $20 to cover basic administrative costs. |
| I don't meet the membership requirements exactly. Should I still apply? |
| YES! We have provided guidelines but if you can show us leadership potential, we would be interested in learning more. |
| Where is this organization located? |
| This is a national organization. The 8 board of directors are located in 4 cities! |
